Motorola has released details of its upcoming S9-HD Bluetooth stereo headset.  It looks to be a great follow up to the original S9.  The S9-HD is enhanced with high definition audio and earbuds that reduce background noise and improve comfort.

The S9-HD also adds the following -

• SRS WOW HD software to help improve 3-D sound perception.
• Ear buds help isolate outside noise
• Ported design, helps channel music to your ear canal

Motorola had hoped to release the S9-HD during the second quarter of 2008, something that obviously didn’t happen.  We are seeing an expected availability date of 9/18 now though so expect it in September.

The Nokia BH-703 is the latest Nokia original bluetooth headset to hit the market.  It is a higher end headset packed with the latest features and technology.

Nokia describes it as -

It’s the look that will get you talking. Wear the headset way you want- choose from three earplugs sizes, optional earloop, and a matching neck strap for all day comfort and convenience. Hear and be heard on the street , or in a busy restaurant, experience excellent audio clarity with DSP noise cancellation. Specifications -

 Overall this is a great headset.  The sound quality was good and the comfort level was high.

We liked the performance of the RX65.  It provided plenty of notice of upcoming traps while only falsing occasionally.  The one thing this and any other detector will not protect you from is laser.  The RX65 will alert you to the use of a laser but by that time the officer will have a reading and it will be too late to slow down.

If lasers are not in use in your area, the RX65 is a great choice for a great performing radar detector.

Nokia has made it difficult if not impossible to unlock their newest GSM cell phones.  One solution on the market is the Sim Card Unlock Attachment.

I purchased one of these from Dealextreme to try on a Nokia 6035 locked to the AT&T network that I hoped to use on the T-Mobile network.

The first issue is that it requires you to cut your sim card to get around the chip on the card.  While this was fairly easy, I hate to cut up the “brains” of my T-mobile account.

After cutting the sim card, the real challenge was to keep the unlock attachment positioned correctly to function.

The unlock did unlock the phone but the sound quality when using the phone was substandard at best.  It sounded not only tinny but like the ringing and other caller was 20 feet down a tunnel talking into a speakerphone.

As a result, the unlock attachment does in fact unlock the phone but because of sound quality issues the phone was not really usable.  While it was only $10, it would not be worth purchasing again.

The sytem includes a car charger, travel charger and USB cable that can be used to charge from a computer USB port.

When using the car charger the prongs can be flipped in making a compact unit. 

When you are ready to use the charger at home or in a office, the prongs can be flipped out and the charger can be easily plugged in.

With rapid charging technology, the charger will fully charge a standard battery in 1-2 hours.

We found the design of the unit to be great.  It is easy to stow in luggage and charges rapidly without overcharging the battery.

Overall we give the Naztech 3 in 1 Micro USB chargerhigh marks for quality and usability.
