We know we are a bit late on this one (like over a year) but still thought it was worth commenting on either way.  Even though the 1st generation of Google android phone is being replaced, there are still plenty of them out there and those users need a good way to carry their phone.

The wirelessxgroup plastic holder is one of many options for easily carrying the HTC G1 android phone.  It is inexpensive (can be bought for around $6) but the quality is somewhat linked to the price.  The belt clip will snap if the holster is not set to a horizontal position before sitting down.  Not to pick on this particular holster as this is a common problem with many plastic holsters.  If you spend about 3 times more you get into the quality of holster that the belt clip is much stronger and will take more of a beating.  Consider though that you can replace this particular unit 3 times before hitting the same cost.

The phone clipped in and out of the holster easily enough and we never had a problem with the phone coming out on its own.  The face out design has pro’s and cons.  For those that like to look at the phone without taking it out of the holster by careening their neck and angling the holster the face out design is the only way to go.  The potential issue though is smacking the screen of the HTC G1 against something while carrying it.  If you tend to be a phone smacker, a face in design would be a much better choice.

As leather cases go, the LCPAD6555 premium leather lambskin case is a nice product.

Features:

The leather is really soft but tough at the same time.  It did not scratch or scuff easily and the padding provides a moderate amount of shock protection if the phone is dropped.

The ratcheting swivel clip is a nice option if you like to carry your phone on your belt, pocket, purse etc.  We found it nice to unsnap the top portion and use the bottom portion as a holster to carry the phone but leave the front of the phone uncovered.  This provided the ease of use of a holster but the functionality of a fitted case.

If you have a Samsung Instinct and have been hunting for a fitted case, you know there are not a lot of options.  Wirexgroup has a Skins neoprene case though that works pretty well.

The features of the case include -

We found the case fit well.  The material was protective and had access to all the ports.  The case does add some bulk to the phone but not enough to bother us.  Overall, it seems like a great option if a fitted case is a must have.

This aftermarket leather case designed specifically for the LG CU720 is just as quality as any OEM manufactured case you can find. 

It has a ratcheting belt clip that locks into eight different positions, allowing you to position the case at any angle on your belt.   It has protective plastic covering the screen, but the keys are open.  There are cut outs around the case for the ports on the phone. There is a small leather strap covering the top of the case with a snap, allowing you to take the phone in and out with ease, but still securely holding the phone when the strap is snapped into place.

The inside of the case is lined with microfiber to protect your phone from scratching.  This is a great case if you don’t want to pay the OEM price for an OEM quality case.

The ratcheting swivel belt clip locks in to place into 8 different positions.   Inside the case is lined with microfiber to protect your phone from scratches.

We like the feel and quality of the holster.  The plastic in the front and back of the holster protects the phone and maintains the holsters shape even when the phone is not in it.  The sides stretch to make a nice fit for almost any phone.  Overall, we found this to be a nice item.
